As cyber resilience becomes a board-level priority, driven by evolving regulations, legislation, and industry frameworks, organisations are rethinking ownership and accountability. While cybersecurity teams have traditionally led resilience initiatives, many now report being sidelined as responsibility expands across operations, risk, compliance, legal, procurement, and other business functions.

This panel will explore whether cybersecurity should continue to lead cyber resilience programmes, or whether resilience has become a broader business responsibility. How can organisations balance shared ownership without diluting accountability? And what does cybersecurity leadership need to do to become more business-driven, influence strategic decision-making, and remain central to organisational resilience?

We'll debate:

  • Are security teams being sidelined as resilience ownership spreads across the business?
  • Have we unintentionally convinced organisations that cyber can be managed without cyber professionals?
  • Does today's cyber leader need a completely different skillset to remain influential?
    Is cyber resilience a genuine strategic priority or simply the latest corporate buzzword?
