Nanik has spent over two decades working in asset management, financial services, and entrepreneurial ventures. After spending many years advising clients on their global investments, Nanik now focuses on assisting early-stage technology businesses in validating ideas and commercialising their proposition. He is the co-founder and CEO of a Scotland-based start-up idea-to-commercialisation consulting business, Imagine Ventures Ltd. As an entrepreneur who has experimented with various start-up ideas since 1999, Nanik also understands the pitfalls that start-ups face.  He has studied and worked in 12 cities across Asia, the Middle East, USA, and Europe and attended two of the best business schools in Europe (INSEAD) and Asia (IIM Kolkata).

Nanik is currently the commercial champion and CEO designate of LastingAsset, a spinout from the School of Computing, Engineering, and the Built Environment at Edinburgh Napier University. He is also the Royal Society Entrepreneur in Resident at Edinburgh Napier University, helping the school translate research into commercial solutions to solve some of the most significant problems of our time.
