Bogdan Adamyk is a Lecturer in the Department of Business Analytics and Information Systems, Aston Business School, Birmingham, U.K. He has over 20 years of experience in monetary policy, banking regulation, AI, FinTech, cryptocurrency, blockchain, decentralized finance (DeFi), and cybersecurity. He has contributed to various UK and EU research initiatives. He recently served on the EU Horizon–funded TRACE project, where he applies AI-driven techniques to counter financial crime and trace illicit money flows. Dr. Adamyk has authored or coauthored more than 125 publications, including seven textbooks and four monographs, primarily focusing on AI, FinTech, cybersecurity, blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies. His research interests include AI regulation, cryptocurrency markets, and blockchain applications. He is the Principal Investigator of the MetaGuard project, an Innovate UK–funded CyberASAP initiative developing AI-powered security solutions for DeFi and Metaverse transactions.
