Originally with a background in Internet software development, operations and technology, David has been working in the field of cyber security for over 25 years. In that time he has held a wide range of senior security positions, including chief architect for Messagelabs anti-spam service, head of application security for ABN AMRO Bank (UK), head of infosec for the NHS digital records project at CSC, and more recently CISO for Theo Paphitis Retail Group. 

David has been responsible for the design and implementation of security programs for a number of UK and European companies and has particular interests in retail, Fintech, and the challenges of securing the software development process, and securing cloud managed services.
