ITN Business and International Cyber Expo 2023 partner to bring a unique programme - ‘The Cyber Impact’ - to the cyber communityITN Business and International Cyber Expo 2023 partner to bring a unique programme - ‘The Cyber Impact’ - to the cyber community
ITN Business has partnered with International Cyber Expo 2023, the UK’s leading cybersecurity event for industry collaboration, to premiere a news-style programme, ‘The Cyber Impact’. The unique reporter-led programme explores the issues of our interconnected world, raising awareness of the cyber-threats faced by individuals and organisations, as well as the solutions for safeguarding systems and information.
Anchored by journalist and presenter Sharon Thomas, from ITN’s London studios, ‘The Cyber Impact’ will explore the importance of cybersecurity in a post-pandemic world and will include content looking at:
· Security blind spots, including talent shortages - showing what is being done to address the skills gap.
· The impact, from the growing threat of ransomware, phishing, spyware and others.
· The role of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
· How businesses and individuals can protect their data.
· The role of the government and the NCRCG to help increase cyber resilience in the UK.
The programme will feature expert interviews with thought leaders from the UK Cyber Security Council, the National Cyber Resilience Centre Group and the National Crime Agency. It will also showcase the organisations that are actively advancing ongoing response and solutions to cyber threats.
Generating debate, ITN reporter Sharon Thomas will be leading a panel discussion with industry experts on the 26th of September on the main stage at International Cyber Expo 2023. The panel discussion will explore how cyber-attacks can be prevented, the organisations helping to minimise cyber threats and the increasing risks associated with rapid digitalisation.
Rachael Shattock, Event Director, International Cyber Expo said: “The combination of an ever-evolving cyber threat landscape along with a significant industry skills shortage and the rise of
new technologies such as artificial intelligence, has created the perfect storm. As an event that strives to give back and offer value to our cybersecurity community, we could not be more excited to partner up with ITN Business once again to produce this high-quality programme. We hope it will be an effective vehicle to get the industry’s knowledge and challenges out into, and embedded in, mainstream discussions.”
Nina Harrison-Bell, Head of ITN Business said: “We are delighted to be partnering with International Cyber Expo once again this year. The event provides the perfect platform to showcase our programme which aims to share knowledge and learnings with the cyber community and helps raise awareness of the importance of cybersecurity, showing how businesses can help reduce exposure and protect themselves from the rising threat of cyber-crimes.”
The programme will combine expert interviews, news items as well as reporter-led, sponsored editorial profiles, and will premiere at International Cyber Expo, 26 September 2023. The programme will be supported by a digital launch and marketing campaign and will be hosted on the ITN Business content hub.
