MetaGuard: AI-Powered Security for DeFi and Metaverse Transactions
The explosive growth of decentralised finance (DeFi) and the Metaverse has opened new opportunities—alongside unprecedented risks. In 2023, over $1.7 billion was stolen from crypto users globally due to fraud, phishing, and smart contract vulnerabilities. Traditional security measures are no longer sufficient to protect users in fast-evolving decentralised ecosystems.
In this session, Dr Bogdan Adamyk will present MetaGuard, an AI-driven security solution designed to safeguard digital transactions in DeFi and Metaverse environments. MetaGuard integrates directly with crypto wallets and decentralised applications (DApps) to provide:
• Real-time risk assessment of transactions,
• Semantic verification and dApp authentication,
• Transaction simulation to identify unintended outcomes before execution, and
• Continuous monitoring to detect anomalies and prevent fraud.
The talk will highlight MetaGuard’s development under the CyberASAP programme, its proof-of-concept features, and the roadmap toward commercialisation.
